- Cancellation policies may be superseded by extenuating circumstances. Please review these exceptions.
- Applicable taxes will be retained and remitted.
Example
For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made 7 full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in, otherwise no refund. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by Friday of the previous week before check in time.
If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded.
If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.
Extenuating Circumstances for Guest Cancellations
In the rare instance where extenuating circumstances arise, a guest may need to cancel a confirmed reservation. In this instance, casacelin may override the host's cancellation policy (flexible, moderate, strict, long term) and make refund decisions. Such cases will be contingent on proper documentation, where valid, and include:
- There's a death in the guest's family.
- The guest has a serious illness or there's a serious illness in their family
- There's a natural disaster in the destination country
- There's political unrest in the destination country
- The guest has jury duty or other similar civil obligations
Extenuating Circumstances for casacelin Cancellations
In the rare instance where extenuating circumstances arise, casacelin may need to cancel a confirmed reservation. Such cases will be contingent, where valid, and include:
- Death in the family
- Serious illness or serious illness in the family
- Natural disaster in the country.
- Political unrest in the country.
- Property damage.
- Maintenance issues that affect the ability to host
